Free affirmation generator
Most affirmations fail because they're borrowed from someone else's life. Pick what you're actually feeling and the tone your mind will accept, and write one that fits you.
What are you feeling right now?

How to write an affirmation that sticks
- Present tense, not future. “I am learning to trust myself” lands; “I will be confident one day” keeps the change permanently out of reach.
- Believable beats impressive. If the sentence makes you flinch, soften it by one degree. “I am open to liking myself” is more useful than “I love myself” when you don't yet.
- Name the feeling, don't deny it.Affirmations that argue with reality get rejected. Ones that make room for the feeling and add safety get through.
- Repeat it at the trigger. One repetition in the difficult moment beats ten in a calm one.
Frequently asked questions
How does this affirmation generator work?
You choose the feeling you're carrying and the tone that sounds like you, and the generator writes a present-tense sentence around it, personalised with your name. Nothing is sent anywhere — the sentence is built in your browser.
What makes an affirmation actually effective?
Three things: it is present tense, it is believable enough that you don't reject it, and it is repeated at the moment you need it. An affirmation your mind flatly refuses tends to backfire, so start one step kinder than your current self-talk rather than ten steps ahead of it.
Should I write affirmations in first or second person?
Both work and they do different jobs. "I am safe" builds identity; "You are safe" is easier to receive when you're in distress, because it sounds like someone kind speaking to you. This generator uses your name so you get both effects at once.
Is the affirmation generator free?
Yes, completely free with no account. The Healio app is free to download and free to start on iPhone if you want the same practice guided every day.
